Introducing Our Sustainability Whitepaper

Sustainability has evolved far beyond a nice to have or an extra page in the annual report. With both increasing regulation from authorities and the threat of public outrage if you put - or are perceived to put - a foot wrong, getting it right (and communicating it right) have never been so critical.

And that’s not all.

If you consider that one-third of young people in the U.K. have rejected a job over employers' weak ESG credentials, and more than three-quarters of Europeans aged between 20 and 29 say that sustainability is an important factor in their choice of employer, then you can see that your sustainability approach could have a measurable impact in attracting and retaining staff. And when you get them onboard, given that your employees have so much fighting for their attention, what does it take to truly engage them and embed sustainability into your business? And how do you tread the fine line between telling inspiring stories of progress without being seen as greenwashing?

We have been busy exploring this topic and those questions for years with our clients, but we wanted to dive into into it a little deeper. To do this, we spoke to experts from across the sustainability spectrum, from academics to business leaders, and from NGOs to behavioural scientists to get their view on the challenges and opportunities that await. Through research, interviews on our own FutureReady podcast and by looking back at our own firsthand experiences.

The result? Our Whitepaper “From the Boardroom to the Breakroom: How to Create an Inclusive Sustainability Culture" which covers, amongst other things, the impact of sustainability regulation and the blockers to achieving employee engagement, as well as sharing some practical solutions to start implementing today.
