HOW WE CONNECTED EMPLOYEES OF A CHEMICAL COMPANY WITH BUSINESS' VELUES AND PURPOSE
For this client, the challenge was to translate abstract new values into meaningful action. We needed to address employees' feeling that their work was disconnected from the company's purpose.
To connect the organisation's values to employees' day-to-day experiences, our goal was to motivate employees across the entire company to share their work stories and projects. We designed a bottom-up awards programme that allowed employees and teams to celebrate each other's work.
Throughout the process – consisting of submissions, shortlisting and voting –, employees were encouraged to reflect on their activities in a fun and active way. Projects they found to be particularly innovative, enriching and collaborative were awarded in a lively awards ceremony at the end!
By highlighting how each team contributes to the organisation's main pillars, the awards programme fostered a widespread line of sight with the company's purpose. Plus, the sharing of stories allowed leaders and employees to feel a sense of pride and belonging within the organisation!
HOW WE HELPED A LEADERSHIP TEAM OF A MID-SIZED PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY TO CREATE AN ENGAGEMENT ROADMAP
This medium-sized company was growing rapidly but did not have the right communication strategy in place. The available communication channels were not being used properly, and the company suffered a disengaged leadership structure.
To address this, a cross-functional leadership group was formed with colleagues from different departments. The goal was for these leaders to develop a goal- and results- oriented communication roadmap for the company.
In helping leaders design the new communications plan, we combined elements of communication training with advisory work. This allowed for the diverse experiences of the team to translate into an actionable plan that was rooted in state-of-the-art communication practices.
Not only did the leaders succeed to elaborate a comprehensive communication strategy, but they also felt empowered to own it. Confidently representing the strategy across the organisation, leaders disseminated trust around key messages. The result? A much better aligned company culture!
