HOW WE SUPPORTED BAUER MEDIA GROUP THROUGH A MASSIVE FINANCIAL TRANSFORMATION

As part of its new strategy for reliable and consolidated data, Bauer Media Group aimed to implement SAP's resource planning software S/4HANA. But though unified financial knowledge is key to a business' resiliency, rallying key stakeholders behind such a large-scale initiative can be difficult.

The success of Bauer's financial transformation required leaders and employees across every department in the go-live countries to contribute to this change.

We started out by designing a clear change and comms roadmap for the initiative. Next, we created dedicated SharePoint and Teams channels for the project team to ensure they become strong ambassadors. 

Other key elements of our strategy for Trans4/m included ready-to-use toolboxes for local comms teams, containing engaging materials such as Infographics and Videos. Educating employees in a fun and playful way made the changes relatable to people of all backgrounds.

By the launch of Trans/4m, Bauer Media Group had fostered a deep understanding among its leaders, key users, and employees, not just of the technical facets of S/4HANA but also of the new ways of working. This led to exemplary procedural compliance from day one.

HOW WE HELPED ABBOT’S R&D TEAM TO CONNECT THEIR PROPLE TO THEIR STRATEGY

With a new leadership team in charge and a new R&D strategy, communicating the direction to employees was top priority.

We responded to Abbott's problem with our digital “Dialogmap” — a strategy narrative transformed into a playful, interactive board game with 7 easy steps. Moving from the big picture to peoples’ personal contribution.

Abbott's team leaders received comprehensive training on these tools, allowing them to deliver strategy messages to their teams clearly and confidently.

The result? Abbott's leaders and colleagues spoke about strategy in a more direct and defined way than ever before — this led to increased employee awareness and engagement with strategy.

 

HOW WE HELPED DB SCHENKER TO REACTIVATE ITS ENGAGEMENT STRATEGY

Ensuring everyone is clear on your business' direction amidst intense change can be challenging. We helped DB Schenker's employees block out the noise and stay connected to what truly matters.

DB Schenker's new internal communications team took over at a time when the company was going through a sea of change. Employees were being flooded with messages and campaigns, but these didn't always seem to clearly connect to one another.

Our goal here was twofold: to bring the new internal comms team together, and to revitalize DB Schenker's engagement strategy. The solution here needed to be collaborative, high-energy and fast paced.

So, we organized two sprint working sessions. The first one consisted of a science-backed review of DB Schenker's existing strategy, while the second one nailed down a brand-new activation plan for the upcoming year.

In a short time, we got the whole team aligned to its internal comms strategy. Most importantly, we empowered them to own this plan themselves – so DB Schenker could keep crafting inspiring stories with no dependency on COSYN.
